Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This legislation requires counties to give preference to Georgia providers of services and supplies without regard to a minimum price.  It requires all bids submitted to a county to have a statement of the potential impact to jobs in Georgia.  All bidders for any service or product would be required to state the number of jobs created, maintained or lost in Georgia if the bid is awarded to the bidder or to another bidder.
